Chris Wynn
Born in Dallas, Christopher Wynn has been writing and songwriting since he learned to play TV theme songs on a musical calculator at the age of six. Before earning a creative writing scholarship in 1989, Christopher's prose and original poetry would win multiple awards and he would twice be ranked among the top ten student journalists in Texas.

Christopher studied at Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri and then in Texas before parlaying his writing experience into a position with Beyond Magazine in Dallas. In typical industry fashion, Beyond's run was short-lived. Christopher then began freelancing as a writer and also served a brief stint in corporate America.

In late 1998, Christopher created WYNNWORKS as a source to house his music, writing and creative endeavors. He also began performing his original music live for the first time. Author Brad Gooch (City Poet: The Life and Times of Frank O'Hara) caught one of those performances and was moved to feature Christopher and his song "Lessons in Breathing" in his next book, Godtalk: Travels in Spiritual America.

Around this same time, Christopher began to write for LA-based Hero Magazine and then later served as a contributing editor. A move to New York City later followed. Like so many others, Christopher would be deeply impacted by the events of September 11. He eventually returned to his native Dallas, where he served as the Assistant Editor of PaperCity magazine before finally settling in on staff with The Dallas Morning News and its new luxury style magazine, F!D Luxe.

Christopher lives in Dallas with his partner, a pastry chef, and their Boston Terrier named Baxter.

Christopher Wynn's essays and articles have appeared in numerous publications and on the web, and he has been an essayist and commentator for National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition". He is a former contributing editor for Hero Magazine in LA and former assistant editor for PaperCity magazine in Dallas. He is currently a staff writer for The Dallas Morning News style section and its luxury magazine called F!D Luxe. Wynn has also written over fifty songs.
